Being under two hours away from the UK’s major airports, Prague is firmly established as the perfect location for a weekend break. The sites of interest are numerous; from the wonderfully romantic Charles Bridge to the dizzy heights of Petrin Tower, Prague is guaranteed to capture your heart and mind.

However, away from the tourist-beaten track there are some hidden gems that make a trip to Prague unique and even more memorable.

Glow Golf

Hidden in an old print factory is the wonderfully unique ‘Prague Glow Golf’; a laid back atmosphere and a friendly greeting on arrival make this far more than a simple tourist offering. The factory has been transformed, all walls and floors blackened and adorned with wonderful wall art depicting scenes from the sunny city above. The crazy golf holes are inspired and glow below UV lights. The whole experience is wonderful for adults and children alike, and for those with the stamina there are plenty more games to enjoy including pool, golf billiards and numerous board games.

Oblaca Restaurant, Zizkov Television Tower

Drawn in by the outdoor dining and picture menus on offer in Prague’s main dining areas, tourists often miss what is right in front of them – the highest and most amazing restaurant Prague has to offer. Housed 66 metres above the ground in the iconic Zizkov TV tower that dominates the Prague skyline, Oblaca restaurant is a class act from start to finish. Wonderful service and fantastic food and great value are the perfect complement to a private view across the wonderful city of Prague. As the main course arrives the sun begins to set on the buildings that surround you and dessert is accompanied by the wonder of the night time city lit by the soft glow of electric light.

Kampa Island

Situated in the middle of the Vltava river, this island is close to Charles Bridge and houses a museum. Best visited in the middle of summer, so you can enjoy the spectacular scenery.
